Creative Designs of Educational Research and Practice

The aim of the specialization “Creative Designs for Educational Research and Praxis” is to provide participants with high quality postgraduate expertise in issues related to the design of innovative learning and teaching environments. Guided by a dynamic, transformative and exploratory perspective on education in the contemporary and ever-changing world, conceptual models that frame alternative ways of thinking about learning and instructional design, creativity and quality play, with respect to diversity, rights and needs of all early and middle childhood children are examined. In addition, guidelines are provided with a contemporary perspective for research with children of this age in non-formal and formal educational settings, while fostering a continuous creative dialogue between theory, research and practice and cultivating the participants’ reflective and critical capacity on the issues of design and redesign.

Arts in Education

The “Arts in Education” specialization is the systematic study and research in the field of arts in education, with emphasis on providing specialized knowledge and developing skills for postgraduate students on issues related to research, education and artistic creation. Both contemporary social developments and advances in the research field dictate the need to update the ways of mediation and experiential interaction with children, with an emphasis on a child-centered dimension. A dialogue is developed on the epistemological content of arts research in education and the processes and methods used to understand and explore aspects of the different arts and their combinations.
